Me and my mum go to a knitting group every fortnight and were fussing over our tg tips monkey one day, due to her making a fluorescent knitted jumper. We started thinking of different things we could make for Norma (the chimps name is Norma 
) coming up with things we could make for her to be like a mascot for the knitting group. So I decided to make a chair... it sounds really silly, but I wanted to make something I haven't seen before, so yeah! It was really fun to make and quite a challenge! 
This story sounds stupid, oh brain 
I started making this around March this year, then had to stop for a bit, but all together I think it took me about 48 hours to make.

The story doesn't sound stupid. It sounds AWESOME! I wish I had a knitting group. And a chair was a wonderful idea, you made it so wonderful! If it was life size, I would be pretty certain it would be a very comfortable chair.
